My 2nd attempt. Not very original as other flower photos have already been posted. But, this one is done by the rules:

Thanks Walter and Cal.

I took advantage of the skylights in my kitchen and used the available light that they provided. Nice not to have to contend with shadows.

I'm a sucker for any horiculture image, but this is just stunning. The skylights certainly worked out well....makes me look at my conservatory ceiling in the kitchen a little differently.

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment. Yes, flowers are one of my favorite things to photograph as well.

FWIW, this is the final version of the image. It is the cover of a note card. One of many that I sell through local gift shops and art galleries, here on the Cape:
