Default On the street where I live - spring?

Two archive shots, taken this past March.

March 20, 2011:

I've always liked that picture.

March 21, 2011:

The two pictures were taken from just about the same spot, but looking in different directions. That pile of snow is in the middle of the street, at a T intersection.

I like the first shot. The second not so much. Looks like back breaking work to get rid of that snow.

Blowing snow is lovely from the inside. Love the contrast in the first image.

There is not so much lovely about the second shot. heavy, dirty snow that has to be moved.

Boy, what a contrast between your shot and Zig's...the pictures are nice but I don't think I'd be able to live in a place like that. It looks waaay too cold for me.

Two very contrasting images with the first being my favorite.

But the 2nd has just a peak of what looks like a very nice vista. Leaves me wanting to see more of the area.

I really love the first picture, it's one of my favorites for this year. The second one was posted as a contrast to the first, to show what a difference a day makes and to show the other side of winter snow. The really bad thing about the second picture is that all that snow in the middle of the road ended up in my yard, covering up the Wrangler sized hole I had dug out to park it. I couldn't shift what had become huge blocks of icy, packed snow (it was a heavy wet spring snowfall) - not a fun day to play at all.

Tullio - luckily this amount of snow is unusual, normally we have less than a foot and it melts quickly, before it's had a chance to wear out its welcome. I normally love winter (except for days like this and other days where the close the freeway before I can get home) and am looking forward to it right now.

The first looks heavenly, the second looks like work.
As others have noted.

I love that first one... there is something in the softness of the blowing snow that is peaceful and magical. I can't imagine living in a place that is HOT all the time ;-)
