Default The Dark Side - Black Camera on Black Latex

Not much of an attempt at aesthetics here, just tried to get both the shiny and matte blacks right.

And you did good...I like it! I think that this is what this challenge is about.

Thank you both. I'm glad no ones asked where I got the black latex.

It may be the calibration of my monitor, but I find the image too dark on the bottom -- I can't see the full outline of the camera. If my monitor is accurate, it looks like you need another small light source to complete the illumination. But you certainly set a serious challenge for yourself!

Nice shot, BTW.

I have some ideas but we won't discuss them here. LOL!

Good capture - really illustrates the point of the challenge! And the esthetics are pretty good too...

Good eye. It's not your monitor. Light source is ambient, in front and to the right. On camera flash is the only other light source I have, but that wouldn't have worked here.

Sometimes when doing challenges here and elsewhere I set the bar high because it's easier for me to see if I succeeded. Also the harder it is the more engrossing, which is my perverse idea of fun.
