Default Floating Flora at the Castle

This water lily was one of many floating in the water lily pond at our local castle. Now I live in central Kansas, not a place where one would expect to find a castle, but we do indeed have one. It has a moat, drawbridge, and two floors complete with turrets and a working fireplace. It is a hobby project built over many years by a local schoolteacher, who is still adding goodies to it. It's locate very near Interstate 70, but is hard to see because it is surrounded by so much 'flora'. There are blooming flowers during every season. An amazing little gem that's fun to visit and photograph!

How cool! Certainly not what I think about when someone says "Kansas"! Love the water lily.
