Default Doors

Well, here you go. These are archival shots. One is the door to the Alcatraz wood working shop. One is the door to the Point Reyes Lighthouse. The last one is the iron door (or what is left of it) from the military emplacement at the mouth of the Columbia River in Washington State. Not sure what order they will appear but suspect you can decipher.

Cheers,

Bill

I recognized Pt. Reyes lighthouse right off, even before I read your post. Nice picture, you can see the Fresnel light glass pretty clearly. That Alcatraz door is neat (love these types of pictures, of rust and abandoned places) - still haven't managed to get over there, but one of these days...

What a great collection of rustic doors. If doors could talk, i'm sure we would hear some great stories from all three.

That rusty fragment of an old gun battery door is very much like the doors at Ft. Stevens, just across the Columbia river to the south in Oregon. I have never visited the Washington site but plan to some day.
