Here are a couple shots from Granville Island in Vancouver, British Columbia. I don't know the original function of Granville Island but I suspect it was manufacturing and warehousing. Now, it is essentially an "artist colony" with many different arts represented. Many of the building are painted in bright colors. Here are a couple doors that caught my attention.

More neat doors. It's amazing how colors can make a huge difference in a building - grey and you don't notice. Blue and red and you look twice. The purple door also makes one look again - or is it the relatively bright green? In any case, they sure stand out.
