I didn't realize how difficult it is to find a "red" flower! I spent a couple of hours walking around the LA Arboretum today (got some nice bird shots), and finally as I was leaving I found this Chinese Lantern Flower by the exit. It was in partial sun, tried different settings and finally got the right color (closest to original) by EV -0.66, and Center Meter setting. No PP, just cropped and resized.
Now I have to say, it looks nice and vivid on my large monitor but rather washed out looking on my laptop....

Your experience confirms Calr comment regarding the difficulty in capturing reds. Yes the red doesn't c snap on my tablet either. Selvin |
