Default Lower Point of View: street-level

Perhaps the point of view of someone passed out on the sidewalk? I've always liked the real, old-fashioned neon lights of this storefront, this time I tried a different angle.

Not a scene I'd welcome when waking up on the sidewalk. Well done.

It was fun to take. There I was, early morning on a fairly busy street (both vehicles and pedestrians even at 6:30 in the morning), sitting on the sidewalk and using a gorillapod wrapped around a parking meter, holding the camera not far off of the sidewalk, trying to figure out which way to tilt the camera to get it half-way straight as I watched the LCD. I'm sure I got some strange looks, though I was concentrating too hard to pay any attention to those walking by. I haven't done anything like this in months (or so it seems) and had forgotten how much fun doing something weird like this can be. This is such a great topic!

The bold color of the neon followed by the twinkling little blue lights , followed by the peek of the morning sky at the top. well done!

Thanks! The little blue lights are on the florist shop next door - I've always thought it was interesting, how in L.A. such stores can rub elbows with each other happily (both have been in business for at least 15 years or more, as long as I can remember).
