The layering of the waves catches my eye.
Looks like an everyday scene on a Hawaiian beach.

Love the picture, and while many people would think this is a serene scene, all I can think of is the frustration of waiting and hoping for a bite (I have no patience). On the other hand, I've never quite understood why something that's constantly moving and making noise like surf can be so soothing and hypnotic.

Mtngal,
I am originally from the Gulf Coast area. I can remember as a teen, sleeping on the decks of vacation homes (not mine) and in tents (mine) and drifting off to sleep to the sound of the pounding surf. Nothing like waking up in a hammock, getting a hot coffee and listening to the surf...
