Default Serenity Salmonberries

Every year, at this time, the salmonberries and the skunk cabbage bloom and every year I try to capture this remarkable and complimentry combination of colors.

Cool! An interesting combination. Love how you got the small flowers and leaves against the skunk cabbage (am I right in thinking the yellow is the skunk cabbage? I know nothing about plants!).

The large plant is the Western Skunk Cabbage, or also knowned as the Yellow Skunk Cabbage and the small purple flower will in a couple of months be Salmonberries. The Skunk Cabbage smells like a skunk and will smell up the whole area they are growing in. They grow next to each other in some areas and are early bloomers.

I like this picture...nice combination of types of flower and colors. I'm just not sure about the serenity aspect of it but...perhaps I'm just not looking at it the right way.
