Default Serenity - A Quiet Moment

I visited the 9/11 Memorial in New York this weekend. The hushed quiet over the crowd is only broken up by the sound of the water flowing down into the pools over and over. Seems fitting after the horror that once took place in the very spot I was standing...

Yep, I was choked up at seeing the flowers on different names around the pools. The light reflecting off the memorial isn't true sunlight - it's reflected sunlight off the polished sides of the partially completed Freedom Tower that is tossed back in the late afternoon towards the pools. I'm so happy that after all these years I made it there!

In this simple image you have captured the immense sadness of the memorial. The lighting is perfect for the image.

Very cool! A nice, touching photo of what is probably a very moving spot. It's on my bucket list, one of these days I'll make it there.

It must be a weird feeling being at ground zero. I'd like to experience that...perhaps next time I go to NYC. Nice capture.
