That's a wonderful shot. You've done a very good job hanging onto the subtle differences in color. It really evokes a winter's day very well.

Thank you tclune, vsch1 & mtngal. No vsch1 it's not frost, but moisture. It rained overnight then the morning was foggy with rainclouds coming back in again. I liked the effect.

Wow Bernice... I heard that there was cold weather over your way.. (it's been cool here in Adelaide too... but not THAT cold!)... and your photo shows that clearly.

Brrrr!!! Good capture of the coldness 'sticking' to the trees. Stay warm. Nice composition.

Hey thanks Paul - it's getting colder everyday, though not as cold as it does in the northern hemisphere maintain regions than goodness. Temperatures were from 3˚C to 7˚C here yesterday - overcast & drizzly. (The wild coastal weather hasn't reached here yet!)

Very nice but your caption confuses me. I would think your official Winter wouldn't start until around June 21. That's when our summer starts in the top half of the world.

However...mother nature doesn't know how to read a calendar so she creates winter/summer when she is ready. I thought we were having summer several weeks ago but it was a false alarm. I think it is still coming!

Well we commonly look on Winter as starting 1 June, Spring 1 September, Summer 1 December and as Autumn 1 March, Cal so this shot taken on Saturday 2 June is the second morning of Winter. But we'd already had two weeks of minus 4˚C to mins 6˚C at the end of April/beginning of May!
