Wow! All of those are lovely. The long shutter speed of the Yellowstone night shot is quite unusual to me, I'd love to take something like that. And both the framing of the first one and the color of the surf is what catches my eye. I've tried to photograph that color before and not come up with anything as lovely as that one.

Thanks Mtngal. The ocean was just perfect that day. The sun was behind me and to the left if I remember correct. I too have struggled with trying to capture the colors of the ocean waves and this one turned out.
The Old Faithful shot was a 1 minute exposure and it was freezing. There was a full moon behind me and in the original there is a slight rainbow in the mist to the left of the main jet. The stars are streaked because the ground shakes when this goes off and it shook the board walk and ground. I only got one shot at this as it was about 11:00PM and I was not about to wait another 90 minutes to try it again. Thanks for your comments. I love Surfer Girl and the Sepia Like Kids playing in the surf. |
