Default Circles - City

City circle:

All right, I AM being silly today, but I couldn't resist it (once I thought of it). This is actually a rather eagerly awaited store, due to be open the end of the month.

I probably should have put this one in its own thread, it is so different than the one above. But it's getting toward the end of this theme, so I will. Don't know what anyone is going to think of this one, especially as a "circle" theme. But I thought it fitted, the circles stand out among all those straight lines. I would be interested in some feedback about it.

Is City Circle the same thing as Target? The circle logo is the same.

It is, indeed. This is in Westwood, so I guess someone thought the regular Target sign too lowly or something. They wanted it to be more upscale, I guess. Or else the local historical society might have objected to the sign on an old building. It was at one time a Bullock's department store, it's really a lovely building with a curved wall and was at one time very upscale. Get the point across even if it doesn't say Target.

Just read a news release about the new store - apparently Target is opening three of these stores (here, Seattle and Chicago) the same day. It's a new thing, they are going to be carrying clothes, electronics and stuff for dorm rooms and apartments, and the stores themselves will be smaller, less big-box type of store. I'll definitely check it out one day after it opens (and the crowds die down) - hopefully they'll have more reasonable prices than most around this area.
