Default Animals- Fantasy Morning Mare

This is from the archives.
This shot was taken at about 7:45 in the morning just as the sun was beginning to peek through the trees. I was about 400 yards away on the deck of my hotel room when I saw this mare standing at the edge of a cliff watching the ocean. I took several shots with my 200-500mm lens at 500mm and was lucking enough to get this one shot when she turned back toward me.
I have always thought this picture looked like it was a painting and should be featured on the front of a fantasy novel. It is one of my favorite pictures.
I have done very little post processing. A small crop, some lighting adjust and a little contrast.
Thanks for looking,

Cheers,
Steve

Just missing the unicorn horn. Beautiful shot and stunning post processing.

lovely, and yes, it should grace a book cover.

Steve, I remember this from when you first posted it - as stunning now as it was then. Have you ever entered this is a contest anywhere? It should be a sure winner!.

Thank you, Yes, I have entered it both here and another photo site with high expectations. Neither site seemed interested. How disappointing. Go figure! Maybe I should try again?

My wife thinks there is a huge market for this photo to 14 year old girls that would love to have this on their wall in their room.

I would think so, too, maybe the second time is the charm, but my opinion is no better, as I have entered photos here that have gotten great responses from members, but no joy - go figure.

I also remember this image from a while back. A very unforgettable shot.
