This is at the old Toronto Brick Works. Newly formed bricks travelled along the tracks through this oven coming out the other end fully fired.

I looked at this for a good long time....noticed several things. I was trying to figure out how this huge Kiln type structure worked. I noticed the holes in the walls and floor area for ventilation and feeding the source of heat. I assume the area on the floor had a fire to heat the bricks at some point. Do you know how it worked?
Another observation, Graffitti can be very creative and beautiful in the right place but I do find it offensive here, it may be something about the history of the structure. Such a shame. Either way, it's a wonderful addition to the challenge. well done. |

Nice shot, lots of depth to keep the eye looking down the picture.

Good eye Walter. Yes to get that depth and detail its HDR. Im glad you had a question mark there. Im not a big fan of the obviously tone mapped images. Here is a shot from the other end and one from the outside of the tunnel. Its all been out of operation and abandoned for a while thus the graffiti. It would have been quite a site to see from beginning to end.

Thanks Mike. Unfortunately after the place was taken over, they cleaned it up and allowed people to wander through it. That was stopped recently and its off limits to everyone.
