Default Blue

Airplanes, boats, islands, and moons..... they are all blue to me.

The first one is really spectacular, but my favorite is the last one. That's just awesome to me.

Thanks Zig and Mtngal!

Zig, he is about 350 to 500 feet above me in a banked turned at over 350 knots. My ears rang for a while. The photo was shot at around 1/4000th of a sec with 420mm lens to freeze him. I have sent this photo to the pilot. He appreciated it.

Mtngal, that shot was taken while I was waiting for the sun to come up on Mt. Whitney. The moon was setting just as the sun rose. It was a bit on the chilly side as it was in Dec/Jan. I called it Balanced Moon ... I think.

The square rig ship is the Lady Washington. It was in Pirates of the Caribbean. It happened to be giving school children a cruise at a place I was eating lunch.

The other is the Point Sur Lighthouse. The fog was condensing as it rose over the top of the island. It only lasted about 30 minutes then stopped.

Zig - got the photo today! Thanks

That's Point Sur? Very cool - looks like I should try to spend a night or two in Big Sur and explore the area more. I've always been impressed when we've driven through but we've always been on our way to points north, not able to stop and spend a while there. Your picture doesn't look like California at all to me.

The first one is amazing, and the last one is beautiful.
