Holiday Thoughts - a very special ornament

The very first Xmas ornament my son picked out when he was around 4 years old, all those years ago. Each year it gets the best spot on the tree.

A Lovely picture. It's so nice to have a link to past holiday times. My mother bought a Santa to put under her Christmas tree her first Christmas after marrying my father, 64 years ago. It is under the tree this year, as always. And every year my Mom remembers him as we decorate the tree, and all the wonderful years they had together before he passed away over 10 years ago.

Christmas is a time to both look back and look forward, to find that link with family members. Our family grew a bit this year, my niece got engaged this Christmas.

Hope you will continue to give that ornament it's honored place for many years to come.

Thank you Zig, Cal, mtngal, vsch. We continued the tradition of buying one new ornament each year for about 10 years, but this first one is special and warms my heart each time I look at it.
