Default Falling Water, Big and Little!

These are two of my favorite "Water" photos.

The first was taken at a small local fishing lake. This waterfall only occurs when there has been a surfeit of rain--this is the overflow area when the lake is full. It requires a trek through high weeds and heavy timber (no real path, pick your way) but is about 30 feet of cascading water when there IS overflow. (Didn't happen the past very dry summer!)

The second occurred when I waited out a heavy rain in my car. I became absorbed in a book and when I finally looked up to see the rain had slowed to a drizzle I noticed a strange pattern in the raindrops on my windshield, couldn't quite figure out what it was. I grabbed my ever present camera and took a few shots and magnified them in the EVF--what I was seeing was the reflection of a small cell tower on the building's roof in the raindrops. The images changed as the drops moved and flowed. Very interesting!

The waterfall looks very much like the Spider Falls in japan. the falls are caleld Spder because of their resemblance to the spider's web.

That second shot is so spooky. You did good.

Wow--Imagine that a (sometimes!) waterfall in central Kansas resembles one in Japan!!
I'm glad you liked the "spooky" shot. It's such a good example of "in the right place at the right time". As well as the thought that you always have to be looking-a great capture might be right in front of you.

The water fall is very nice. The water drops shot is extraordinary! It could be titled Liquid Silver... I wish I had taken it. I sometimes miss the little things that make such interesting captures.

The very best praise is having photographers you respect enjoying (or wishing they had taken!) one of your efforts! Many thanks to all.
