Default Falling Water: Riding the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls

On the Canadian side of the border at Niagara Falls you can do the "Maid of the Mist" ride right up to Horseshoe Falls. It's not cheap but hey you get to live only once. For those thinking of taking a camera along be forwarned they go right up close to the falls and everything gets wet. Note, they issue you raincoats. You'll note someone using their tablet to take pictures. Hope it survived the water drenching.
It took me sometime to dry off the lens on my P&S since I obviously didn't want to take an expensive camera on this ride.

jjdog2,
If you ever get an opportunity I think it's worth it.
Caryl,
Thanks for your kind comment but much of the credit for the composition has to go to luck. In the surging water at the base of the falls the boat is rockin and rolling.

It sounds like you need one of those water-proof camera cases to protect the equipment from the water. Like jj, I've never been there...it must be a breath-taking experience.

I love the picture! That's someone who's brave to be using a tablet under such conditions. While I've seen the falls, I don't remember ever doing the boat ride, that looks so very cool!

Love that you captured not only the falls but the others on the boat capturing the moment also.
