Today is classic example of what happens, here on Cape Cod
I woke up to a fairly good dusting of snow on the ground. The sky was clear and at 6:30am, the sun was just trying to peek thru the clouds. So,off i went with my camera in hand: First stop, Sandy Neck Great Marsh Next stop: Greenbriar Nature Center" ![]() The sun finally burnt off the clouds and it was a glorious morning. Time to goto the Trout Hatchery

Another nice series Zig. I thought you spent time down at Merritt Island in the winter?

I try and spend the month of March in Marco Island, Florida. Unfortunately, Florida is not on the schedule this year. I'm hoping to get back there next year. For now, I'll just enjoy what natures offers, here, closer to home. Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. Zig

I agree a great series but the shot of the bird (Egret??) doesn't look real. The wings look real but the body looks flat as made of wood. What kind of lens did you use? Maybe the lens made the body look flat.

The bird is a Great Blue Heron the image was taken using a NIKKOR 300mmf4
ED IF AF-S lens. The image was run thru lens correction in ACR/CS6. Zig

Very nice shots. I like the color contrast between the branches and the snow. Well done!
