Default Roadway - Freeways

I thought this came out reasonably well, considering we were traveling about 70 mph at the time. This is a tunnel in Colorado, taken a year ago.

Another freeway, this time in Nevada and California. I took this one this past winter, the desert is not usually this green. This is actually a stitched panorama.

Final freeway picture from last year - not what you want to see on your way home (taken with an iPad).

Love the window view on the first one.

The second shot catches my eye. The vast expanse split in two by the highway makes you have second thoughts about progress.

The second one makes me realize that there are still wide open spaces in the west. What the second one doesn't show is a huge solar electric facility just to the left of the picture. So the desert scene isn't half as pristine/lonely as it looks here.

I was happy with the tunnel picture - I wanted the shutter speed to be slow enough to give you the idea of speed, but not so slow I got camera shake. It turned out to be trial and error - good thing there were several tunnels so I could experiment.

Thanks for the compliments, the tunnel is on an interstate in Colorado.

And yes, the last one is during rush hour when there's a fire along the freeway. Not that the traffic is all that much better when there isn't a fire on that stretch of road (I-405 in the Sepulveda Pass, West Los Angeles).
