Default Sad Sign of Times

This is over at the Crosses at Lafayette close to where I live. This has been a called a place of protests and a place of remembrance and patriotic and unpatriotic. I will leave those interpretations to others.

The families of some of the men and women that have died in our recent conflicts have visited and put messages on the crosses. This is just one of hundreds I shot that day. There is a cross for each service person that has died.

I have included a panoramic to give you some idea of the scale.

The first time I shot this place was on an early Sunday morning.. I was the only person there.. One minute I was shooting photography and the next I had tears rolling down my face.. It was completely unexpected; the place is powerful in what ever message you come away from it with.
