Default Game--Suncoast Dome (St. Petersburg)

These are from a game between the Rays and the Detroit Tigers last year. All taken with a Pentax K-5 and a Tamron 70-300mm.

This is one of my favorites because I don't know how the infielder kept from falling on his face making the catch.

All shots were taken from the "good seats" about twelve rows off the field between the plate and first base..... specifically NOT behind the screen.

I can't believe he managed it either. Nice shots.

I want to know how you got the camera in the stadium. Here in Cali they seem to be really strict on letting dslr cameras with zooms in to the sporting events.

I had no problem. I checked the Rays' photo policy and it was stated in very ambiguous terms..... "Long zooms, which interfere with other spectators, are not allowed," without specifying what a "long" zoom was. No tripods are allowed.

The only place I have ever had problems was an arena in Arkansas where I was not allowed to bring in my DSLR to an arena football game.
