Default Red!!

My very first post in this forum was for Cal's Red challenge, an almost monochromatic winter scene with a very red very small stop sign. Here's a very different scene - a Ferrari's in a parking lot in Ravello Italy...

Did you do any post processing or was this directly from the camera? Also, what kind of camera and how old is it?

This is a great shot. I have often thought about doing a challenge on taillights but it seemed too much like "show and tell"!

Thanks Cal... the only post-processing was a slight 5% boost to the red saturation (I use ACDSee Pro 6 on RAW files) and sharpening and noise reduction. The camera is an Olympus e30 first released in 2008; I was using the famous, in Olympus circles, 12-60 mm (24-120 in 35 mm terms) zoom.

What a wonderful shot to start off with - I really, really like it. Very cool, being a Ferrari and all.

After peeking at your shot I spent lunch in a parking lot, looking for the color red. Lots of red tail lights, but only one really red car, and not quite as perfectly matched to the tail light as this one is.
