Default Red!

here are a few - first couple shot with a Canon 5D Mk II, the second two with a 7D, both designs a bit over 3 years old...

The car looks great. However, the flowers illustrate the problem I see with my Nikon. The detail in those shots is washed out. This is not a focus problem but a problem with the sensor where strong red details bleed over into adjacent parts of the image. The third flower is the best but the other two flowers have detail washed out.

yeah, reds tend to oversaturate badly, and that causes "blooming", or loss of sharpness and detail. you can often get some of it back by turning down the red saturation in PP, but it's never quite the same.

As noted the third flower is not only nicely saturated but pops out at you in a dramatic fashion. The tulip is more muted and seems closer to a painting... just my thoughts.
