Default Red - Trucks

Couple of trucks. The old fire engine is a pano because of a fence close by. You see the fence shadow on the truck. Stove Pipe Wells, CA in death valley.

The ladder truck is from Manzanar the internment camp in the Sierra Nevada Mountains during WWII. This is on Hwy 395 between Lone Pine and Independence, CA.

Whoa! Bill. You got some serious red saturation problems here. Look at the logo just above the grill and the grill, itself! Earl Scheib must have done the paint job on this rig. It is hard to tell what is oversaturation and what is just a bad paint job.

Given that these were probably sitting out in the desert sun for several years I'm impressed by the stability of the red paint.
If these could talk, imagine the stories they could tell about the whole Manzanar incident.
Nice documentary shots.
