Default Red - Erythrina Tree flower

Finally found a red flower today at the LA Arboretum, unfortunately I didn't have the right lens.... Very odd flower. Each flower looks to have only one petal, with this hand-like thing coming out the center. It's a pretty large tree.

Lovely close up. The focus on th anthers and pollen seems to control the red saturation quite well.

Very nice! I'm discovering that which computer I look at these pictures makes a difference, while I have what were expensive monitors at work, they are sometimes a bit softer than my much newer monitor at home. Also, the saturation is a bit different.
