Nice shot of the flower but there is nothing in the photo to give scale. Leaving the background sharp might do it but then the image would be too cluttered. It needs something else like someone holding on to it with their hand.

Don't understand what you mean by scale on a shot like this.

Space in front and space in back.

By scale, I mean that there is nothing in the photo that shows how big the flower is. I have never seen one of those flowers and I am curious how big it is.
