Bob,
Your title certainly has me thinking, What could he possibly mean?

I don't have a clue where "Geese" came from but I love asparagus steamed with butter on it. When I used to live in Idaho Falls, we could go out into the country and find asparagus growing wild along the canal banks. Right now, it is about $4/lb in the supermarket.

I never thought of pairing asparagus with pepper but I don't think I would like it.

Having said all of that, beautiful photo.

Cal

I guess it's known only in our family as asparageese for the collective noun or plural of asparagus. There, you're now all part of my family!
