Default Reflections-One Man's Castle and ME!

These are two of my favorites from my 'reflection collection'. The first is a "personal castle" a few miles from my home. It was built over a number of years by a local schoolteacher. Although it sits adjacent to Interstate 70 it is surrounded by trees and is seldom seen by passing traffic. The castle's main structure is local limestone and sits on a tiny island surrounded by a moat. There are flowers, shrubs and trees everywhere. He has constructed numerous fanciful birdhouses that have attracted many varieties of birds and there are usually butterflies everywhere. Several small bridges cross the moat, one is a functioning drawbridge. The castle has a wonderful hot tub on the top floor and many lovely stained glass windows obtained during the owners European travels. He welcomes visitors and it is a great favorite for children and local weddings.
The second photo is one I got while visiting a National Bi-Plane fly in at our local small airport. I noticed my reflection in the highly polished propeller structure of one of the aircraft and couldn't resist "snapping myself".

Very nice - I can see why they are favorites of yours. They are very different, I like the variety.
