Nice shots, like the expression on the kid in the first one. Like the way the wave look like itís almost overwhelming the two young surfers. Just proves you donít have to be a pro surfer to have fun in the water.

Nice shots of the surfers. Far too often I get just spray when I try photographing them. Or else a cluster of black blobs just sitting in the water, talking and waiting.

Never really though of surfboards as a form of transportation but now that I think about it Walter you're right on. All of our fire rescue trucks (those that primarily service the seafront areas) all carry a surfboard. No, they are not for recreational purposes but to carry rescued individuals who need transportation from some sea accident or the other. Between Helicopters, surfboards and water jet mobiles they do a thriving business during our surfing season with tourists always getting themselves in trouble.
