I am 99% sure that's a Lego train locomotive. That leaves me curious as to how you achieved the motion effect. Did you actually have things moving in the scene or did you use tools in Photoshop to achieve this?

Cal,
To make the shot, I set up a Lego oval track. I ran the motorized train around while taking panning shots. I used shutter priority mode and shutter speed of 1/20. For post processing, I did a resize.

Dr Spock,

Very clever and quite well done. I think the details you provided really demonstrate the effort involved in creating the effect when real trains are not involved.
