Default Cold -- Unusual Northwest Snowstorm

We normally don't get much snow in the Portland, Oregon area but this year is making up for the past years with no snow. This was taken a couple hours ago with my Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate phone after about three days of snow. (More coming!)

This photo is really in color as can be seen from the trim on the buildings in the background. The car is really a "Burgundy" shade of red. The color doesn't show too well here because of the lighting and high contrast.

Enjoy,
Cal

Wow! Can't believe you have that much snow! Congrats! I'm amazed at how good photos can be from certain cell phones. They are better than my first digital camera, the Sony F717 (which was a wonderful camera, I would probably still be using it if the LCD and EVF hadn't developed problems). I also wish you would send some of that south, I understand Northern California will be getting snow and rain but it won't offer us much.

Cal,
I am constantly surprised at the quality of the shots from "smartphones" especially the Samsung collection. The only drawback seems to be their so-so performance in low lighting conditions.
Captures the moment wonderfully.

It sure is beautiful when you don't get it often.

It may be beautiful but it sure makes it difficult to get around. At least today, it is starting to warm up (37 degrees, currently) and the snow and ice are starting to melt. My wife drove to the train this morning without any problem but her Rav4 has 4wd! My car (in the photo) is front-wheel drive and doesn't get very good traction in show and ice. I am hoping it melts enough that I can get out this afternoon.
