Being that I live in California, you can imagine I expected something a bit different. This reminds me of the grasses used for hay on my grandfather's ranch when I was a child. Have no idea what the grass was.. but it looked like this when is went to seed.

I thought it looked like wheat also.

I love it when the combination of lighting, exposure, focus and background make a subject POP without a hint of manipulation - either of the image or the viewer. Well done.
