The Marine uniforms are colorful and the Boy Scouts looking good. Unfortunately, I have no love for Marines. I could cite several reasons for this but put it this way. I served a third of my Naval enlistment (9-1/2 years total) on the nuclear powered cruiser USS Long Beach CGN9. We had a Marine detachment on board to provide security to the missile facilities and you didn't have to be around those guys very long to develop a strong dislike for them. They did their jobs but wore their egos like a badge!.

My response to the Marine advertisement "The few, the proud." was always 'The fewer, the better."
