Instead of trying to take a good picture that breaks the rule, how about deliberately taking a bad picture? Show what happens to a picture in which you ought to follow the Rule of Thirds but don't.

maybe just crop one of your old pics that does not break the rule. crop your subject to dead center and there you go.

That big roll of rope in the lower left is smack in the center of intersecting lines, and is definitely a center of interest to me once I get beyond all of the other ropes. My eye has a resting place there. Neat photo, it ropes you!
