Default National Holidays (Should be!) - 9-11 Traveling Flag Memorial

A couple years after the 9-11 tragedy, a traveling flag exhibit began touring the country. It was in east Portland for about a week. I don't recall how many flags there were but I think there were at least 100. Each contained on the red stripes names of people who lost their lives in the attack or gave their lives trying to rescue others.

Here is a photo of part of the display and a closeup of one of the flags.

9-11 Is not a national holiday yet but I think the day is coming when it will be. Do you know where you were on that day?

We commemorate Pearl Harbor Day, but we don't celebrate it as a holiday, and I think that is appropriate. I feel the same about 9-11.
