Default Fall Color and Weather

It's been quite a while since I've taken many photos - I've been battling ulnar nerve damage and it's been difficult to use my camera very much. I improved my situation rather accidentally last week. Here are a couple of results taken today as I wandered around my neighborhood.

First, the typical fall color:

Second, the weather, part 1:

Notice how calm it looks?

Weather, part 2: Well, it was certainly sunny but it wasn't calm. I slowed the shutter speed down and this shows what I was actually experiencing:

Thanks for the welcome back! I wasn't completely satisfied with all of the pictures I took Saturday, so I spent the morning adjusting the focus. I won't know for sure until this evening when I can look at the pictures on a monitor but the LCD on the camera made the pictures today look better, I think there was a bit of front focus going on. Always interesting when you get new stuff - in this case it was both a new camera and a lens to go with it.

Pain I am familiar with and given that plus new camera etc.. I would say things didn't turn out too badly. Welcome back.

Thank you very much for the welcome back! I'm finding that I'm really out of practice, I'm making mistakes and things that used to be easy aren't any more. Hopefully spending a month or 2 working at it, I'll be back to where I was.

The more I use this new camera, the more I appreciate it. It's small and much lighter than my main one before.
