Default Red and Green: Wreaths at Punchbowl National Cemetery

Four years ago a company donated Christmas Wreaths to adorn the graves of military personnel at the Punchbowl National Cemetery in Honolulu. Many service members from the war against the Japanese in the Pacific arena are buried here. This was an unusual gesture that may not be repeated again. The more common decorations on these headstones are the American Flag and floral Hawaiian Leis each Memorial Day.

The usual floral leis can be seen in this shot. The leis are made by school children, individuals and Scouts throughout the state and laid on every Memorial Day.
