Default Low Angle-High Angle -- What is it?

This is an unusual sight to find in the middle of a large city. This is located in Portland, Oregon slightly south of downtown. This is a "bottom-up" shot. More details later.

Yes, it is the central tower supporting the tram. Installation of the tram was extremely controversial. It really wasn't needed.

The tram runs from the west bank of the Willamette River up to the top of a hill with numerous medical facilities on it. These include but not limited to the Portland VA Hospital and Oregon health Sciences University. The site is commonly called "Pill Hill" by the locals.

Very impressive, Calr.

Is the tram well used by locals or has it become a tourist attraction?

I really don't know how it is doing but it has continued operating for several years, now. I have never ridden it but I understand there is a fantastic view of the city from the tram cars.
