Default Weather: What I Wish it looked like

Sure wish I could have taken this picture this winter. But we've barely had an inch of snow at a time, and then only a couple of times. This picture was taken 5 years ago, not far from my house.

Or that my car could look like this:

Not the least of it because if my car looked like this, I wouldn't be going to work!

Instead the fruit trees across the street have blossomed out, it got up to 70F recently and there's already poppies and other wildflowers blooming on the Gorman Hills, instead of brown grass peaking through freshly fallen snow. And no relief in sight.

Cute pix. Yes, it'll be 80 at the beach this weekend but we really need the rain/snow.

Ahhh fresh snow. We've had plenty.
The first one almost looks like a character from a cartoon.

For those not watching the weather channel, Hawaii actually had a blizzard over the last few days. Alas, on top of the highest peak, Mauna Kea. Winds also topped 80+mph.

The shot of the fire hydrant brought back chilly memories of Chicago in the mid-60s.

I thought the fire hydrant was so funny, and yes, I did think of a cartoon character.

We had some 85+ F weather recently where I work, and I couldn't wait to get back "up on the hill" to the cooler weather. I am so not ready for summer, and I fear it will be a long one. Give me 50-75F any day, with the occasional day below freezing and snow that is on the ground only until you get tired of it. Endless days of sun get boring.

Did it really snow in Hawaii? Wow! I didn't know that even the highest mountain would ever get snow.
