Beautiful light and lovely texture. And the mystery! Who is the reader? Where is she/he? Perhaps gazing out a window in a reverie summoned up from the pages.

Or maybe the dog happened by, and said he really, really needed to go out.

Thanks, guys.

It wasn't the dog, nor could it have been a scene beyond the window. Though I know the truth--and am not telling--I like the image of this person getting so immersed in the story that it sucked her right into it and beyond the pages. It would be appropriate to the wonderful tale she was reading.

I like the mystery of this photo....where did the reader go? Halfway through the book --- must be a page turner!

A Mirror of Her Dreams by Stephen R. Donaldson is the first of a two-book fantasy and is one of my favorites. A woman steps through a mirror and into an alternate reality.

The reader...

Early morning person (bright light at low angle)
Slender (small imprint left on cushion)
Neat & tidy (pages not dog eared, good spine, cover on)

Left to refill coffee

Reader also money conscious ( book appears to be from a Library)

I really like this photo, the colors are outstanding. The old fashioned picture on the book cover goes well with the plush of the couch. Like your last 'conversation' this one tells a story. Way good job.

As I can see you folks understand, a photo based on evidence is a portrait where the subject is unseen. Objects are used in place of the subject and are like the aroma of perfume that lingers after a person has left the room. You detect the perfume, and images immediately come to mind of the person who wears that scent.

This is what I tried to do, but I have to tell you that it was a struggle. Photographers exist who are so good at this, and having seen their pictures, I know the level I want to reach, but it's still quite beyond me. However, you've all made me feel a little better, made me feel that I'm at least on the right road.

Thank you.
