Default Summer Activity: Moving

My son sold his house in suburban Chicago and has moved back home to So Calif. He'll be commuting back to Chicago twice a month (he's a pilot). I flew out to help him drive the Uhaul truck and car here to Huntington Beach. Here we are at a motel in Iowa.

How wonderful to have your son close by again. And what a fantastic adventure to have that time together traveling half way across the country.

Love the first image.

Love your first shot. Great family reminder. Traveling in the Wells Fargo stagecoach across those dusty western plains must have been crowded and uncomfortable as heck.

Had to be a fun trip with the both of you heading west.

Did you happen to pass by the biggest ball of string.

Nope, no balls of string. Our only extended stop this mid-summer trip was in Zion National Park. Incredible!

Nice pictures. There are so many places to visit in the southwest it can be hard to choose which one. On our southwest family vacation many years ago, we visited some parks that are less crowed, like Natural Bridges instead of Arches, and Navajo National Monument and Colorado National Monument instead of Canyonlands. But we did visit the more crowed ones like Mesa Verde and Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion.
