I suggest this wide based tripod instead ... I hear its one of the very finest *genuine* canon tripods.. I think its about 400mm tall?

this kind of makes me think about some pics I saw in the digiscoping forum; some people have a long lens and a big ol' camera just hanging horizontally off of a telescope; talking BIG LENS too. not healthy for the lens or the mount; imho.

Default Test Offer

I will be more than happy to test the new equipment under working conditions. The testing program will be round-robin and is offered free of charge.

Anyone who would like to participate in a round-robin testing program, sign up here. We can ship the camera and lens from one participant to another as each of us completes their part of the testing program. To provide the best testing program each participant will receive the camera and lens three times. Estimate time to complete the "white paper" is 3 years. At that time, a decision will be made if further testing is required.

Once we have all the test results, we will post our findings at Steve's forum.

This offer will be only made once.

Kind Regards,

Rod

Default Go Photograph

You are fortunate and I suspect not crazy. Your parents must believe you have potential and have given you an opportunity to explore photography.

Use the equipment and develop your skills. I look forward to the results.
