I cant believe you went with the D100 as opposed to the 10D! :lol:
Just giving you a hard time. I see a Sigma 2 lens kit there... I have been selling a lot of those recently, but to high school photo students for film bodies.
I eagerly await some pics from that fine equipment. Show us what you are capable of.

I think that is a great idea, it would save the weight and trouble of carrying a heavy tripod around.
I can see no downsides, oh wait there may be one or two.. :lol:
For one you would need a really long lense to get the camera up to eye height. :P
And two ....
