Default Color Blind- Moss

took this when i went to the reservior to take pictures.....but it was cloudy so i couldn't take any sunset pics
enjoy

i did some variations and unsharp mask to this one......

....then converted it to B/w and added contrast and another unsharp mask.

it looks a bit like Christmas tinsel or something..

Yes, it definitely has the look of Christmas! And you got high contrast, too. If you take a close look, you'll notice that whatever was yellow ended up being white when converted. It's something to remember when you're photographing with the intent of doing b&w.

i'm not sure it was yellow in the real photo....lol
it was green moss with some brown spots (probably dead or just sticks lol)

i did the variations to take out some of the brown...

It actually doesn't matter whether the yellow was there to begin with or not. What matters is that, when you did the conversion, it was yellow being converted. This means that, when you see a lot of yellow in a scene you're planning as a b&w, you'll know immediately that it's likely to be a high-key photo.

Although the b&w version turned out great. I just like lookin' at the colored version. It just looks so soft and comfy, I want to walk on it barefoot.
