This is one heck of a stupendous shot! High contrast, sharp detail, excellent composition. I don't know if it's just my preference for b&w, but I think the picture looks better that way. Maybe it's the fact that, in monochrome, nothing distracts from the essential beauty of the cat.

wow! great shot! good conversion too...it seems to be low quality though
that is one major problem of the internet.....you have to worry about size

Thanks, guys! Grizabella walked right into this one. My new lenses came yesterday and I had fun playing with them. This was extreme telephoto, macro too, I think. I was pleasantly surprised at the fast shutter speed and focusing, while she ran around the garage. Quite a few came out as watercolor-looking blobs.

PS - toners, that cropping was done with the camera, not in "post-production." Needless to say, I am tickled with (and enjoying!) my new lenses.

Gil, I got a "cheapie" package off ebay - two Sigmas with cases and lens hoods for $189, I think, with shipping - one is a 28-80mm Aspherical and the other a 70-300mm macro. This shot was the 300mm.

It's the downward looking angle that makes it so mysterious looking. Well done.
