This one's colors are so predominantly mid-range that they didn't seem to do well in the translation to b&w. Even so, here's proof once again that yellows are lighter than we'd expect when turned into shades of gray.

(Oh, but your cat photo is THE one.)

You're right, Barb. There isn't good contrast but I loved the texture and unique subject so I had to give it a go. This was part of an art center exhibit, done by an eighth grader.

I like working with clay but I'm terrible at it - and since I live nowhere near a campus, I live nowhere near a kiln....or a wheel... so I can't see me getting any better anytime soon.
