Default Colour Blind........

Well, I have been unable to log in for some reason for about 4 days, really missed this site, but now I am back!! Woohoo! Couldnīt resist posting this as the title has more meaning in this pic. Miya is the beautiful child of our friends who are a mixed race couple and when I converted it to b and w it blew me away. Hope you like it.

Just had to post the bigger version too!!

Default The Human Spirit

This is a wonderful photography of a child. The face shows the ethnic origins of mankind and the eyes, the windows to the "soul," show the human spirit and give us hope.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful image. In many ways, it reminds us of who we are.

There are over 3.1 billion nucleotides in each of us. Of that 3.1 billion, we have over 99.9% in common.

Right here is a perfect example of why I said that b&w portraits were forbidden. And no, Freefly, I'm not at all annoyed that you did it anyway! With just one lovely picture, you've shown why b&w and people are exquisitely meant for each other.

Ooops! ops: Sorry Barbara. Like I said, my internet has been down for this forum for a few days, and I completely forgot about the "Requirements" for this challenge. I feel silly now......

Promise to read it properly next time.

Thanks anyway to everyone for your nice words.

No need. You provided me with the opportunity to opine on a portrait's love affair with black-and-white.
